As the year comes to a close, it feels like the perfect moment to pause and reflect on everything 2025 has brought for Hushabye Hands.
Like many families and small businesses, this year hasn’t always been easy. There have been challenges behind the scenes, but it’s also been a year filled with growth, connection and some truly special milestones - and none of it would have been possible without the incredible families and community who support us.
The year began in January with the launch of our Latch & Learn antenatal breastfeeding workshops, expanding the support we offer families even before their babies arrive. In March, Hushabye Hands was named a finalist for Woman in Children’s Services at the Women in Business Awards - a moment of real pride and reflection.
In May, I was placed in the Top 100 Children’s Activity Providers in the UK for 2025, recognising the heart-led, development-focused work we do with babies, toddlers and their grown-ups. June brought another exciting step forward as we welcomed Hannah to the team and began working with Babyzone UK, allowing us to reach even more families.
September saw us become finalists once again, this time for Children’s Activity Provider of the Year (North) at the Business Success Network Awards. And in October, we celebrated a full year at The Hushabye Hideaway, our calm, nurturing space created especially for parents and little ones to connect.
November was an unforgettable month, with a national award win for Service Excellence and runner-up for Diversity, Equality and Inclusion at the Female Business Awards - recognition that truly reflects the inclusive, supportive values at the heart of Hushabye Hands.
To round off the year, December brought some wonderful news: we’ve been awarded funding from Chorley Council to run low-cost sessions on Wednesdays and Saturdays in January, helping us reach families who may not otherwise be able to access baby classes.

2025 has been a reminder of why this work matters so much - community, connection and supporting families in those early years. Thank you for being part of the journey. I can’t wait to see what 2026 brings.
