How Our Breastfeeding Support Groups Help Build a Community

Becoming a parent is an incredible journey, but let’s be honest - it can also be overwhelming, exhausting, and at times, lonely. The saying "It takes a village to raise a child" isn’t just an old phrase; it’s a truth that every new parent comes to realise. Finding your village can make all the difference, and that’s exactly why we started Latch & Love.

What is Latch & Love?

Latch & Love is a free, welcoming support group where parents can come together, chat, and get feeding support in a relaxed, judgment free space. Whether you’re breastfeeding, bottle-feeding, combination feeding, or just preparing for life with a newborn, our groups are here for you.

Why Support Matters

Parenting isn’t meant to be done alone. We need people around us who get it - those who can reassure us that we’re doing okay, offer practical advice, and just be there on the rough days. Our groups offer:

Expert feeding support – We have 2 trained breastfeeding peer supporters, and are always happy to help troubleshoot feeding challenges.

A space to meet other mums – Make friends who understand what you’re going through.

A relaxed, baby-friendly environment – No pressure, no judgment - just a warm welcome.

If you’re looking for your village, come and join us at Latch & Love. You’re not alone on this journey - we’re here to support you every step of the way.
